I will be spending a lot of days organising dates for when we can start some more filming with other actors we are including in the trailer, such as robbie and umesh who were past group members and are still actors for our film trailer. Since they're not part of the lessons we have, I will arrange dates with them to meet up on weekends and days where we all have time to film after school and hopefully some days will have the weather that we want for different scenes, and this will work in our favour.

After recieving feedback the other day, we will use this to change different things for the test footage we did for the scenes we want to include. Me and Jai will also brief the actors we're including in the trailer on what we want from them in different scenes, to make sure we get the best possible result. For example in some scenes we will need the actors to be serious and really show the action side of the film to make sure its as intense and great as it can be, and in some scenes the actors will need to be able to have great comedic timing to make sure the puns and jokes come across to the audience and have an impact on them.

Over the course of the last few months me and jai have been discussing many ideas of what to include in the trailer such as montages of gun shooting, training, puns and other action and comedy elements that we think would be a great thing to include in the trailer. Any of the ideas that we liked and want to include we have storyboarded to be put into the trailer, e.g. we have one scene that we would like to include where a gun is thrown in slow motion, we got this idea from Kick-Ass and it we thought it was a great shot and it's something that we'd like to include in the trailer. However we might change our minds while we're editing as we may think different ideas will work better in different sequences as these things will be easily shown during the editing process.

Me and Jai showed the first footage we have for our trailer to our teacher, Mr Goddard. He gave us both positive and negative feedback for the different footage we showed him based on on the camera angles, the mise en scene and our performance on actors.

Positive feedback he gave us included;
  • The quality of the footage was great.
  • The extreme close up shot of the Tomato shot was an interesting idea and could be soemthing good to include.
Negative feedback he gave us included;
  • The masturbation scene that I'm involved in needs to be done to a more professional standard and needs to be done in a more serious manner instead of looking like a group of kids messing around with a camera.
  • There's a lack of attention to media detail such as mise-en-scene and camera work, they need to reflect the actions I'm doing in the masturbation scene to help imply what's going on to the audience.

In lesson we watched three examples of film trailers that were made in the past few years by students. The lesson showed me that I really need to think carefully about the choices I make when I choose the location, the costume, the props used, the lighting involved and the performance of any actors we're using in the trailer. These elements are important into captavating an audience that would want to watch more than just the trailer and would actually spend money to see a movie in the cinema. Now that I know what I should do and what I shouldn't do, I feel more confident about making the film trailer, and making sure it's one that will involve all the previously stated elements to a high standard.

This lesson taught me a lot about creativity and how it forms and changes, I learnt how a lot of creativity starts with a 'hunch' or idea and then this hunch or idea evolves into something new by borrowing and combining other ideas to make these ideas even better, and this can happen over time as most ideas need to time to change to become the thing thats even better. Current technology in the world such as email, telephones, internet, and social networking sites that are massive in scale help creativity flow. People can easily connect with each other and share ideas meaning people have even better chances to be creative and help each other make new ideas and evolve any hunches that they may have.

During the summer it was a complicated time to do some work, I was on holiday for 3 weeks and didn't see my group and it was hard to keep in contact with each other as lot of people in the group don't necessarily use Facebook or Twitter. Also Umesh was on holiday so a lot of the group was detached from each other. Then it was decided that Umesh was dropping media and that Robbie was changing school so I wasn't sure what we could do. However later on me and Jai continued to do some work and we did some filming and still included Robbie and Umesh to be filmed for their parts in the film and luckily they are happy to still be part of the film, however it's going to be a lot of work for me and Jai.
