We had previously tried out a voice over that we would put during the action scenes of the trailer while 'Robot Rock' by Daft Punk was playing, it involved me saying; "Anyone can do what we do.." "It just takes guts". This was put in just so we can add more dialogue to the trailer, and make the characters in the film look more courageous.
We did some more filming for our trailer yesterday and tried it out in our trailer when we were editing, however we had problems at times making the different scenes come together. Because of this it took a while to do a lot of the editing we had to do for our film trailer.
We had to make a lot of the action scenes we had filmed flow together nicely, so me and jai tried out different transitions and sequences of clips to make sure the action looked great. Also I attempted to do some cross cutting with different scenes so that the long boring scenes can become a bit more fast paced like an action film should be, this turned out to be a great thing to do and we kept it in the trailer.
Last thursday we spent the day editing and filming my introduction scene for the film trailer. We discussed ideas of what should be included in the trailer and what different shots we should do. We had many ideas of what to include and we tried out different things, however during the editing we elimanted the different ideas we decided not to include in the end. The final edited footage we had however was not to the standard we wanted, but we wanted to show our teacher the idea we had already for that individual scene. Some parts of the scene will be re-done as the scene involved me looking at the camera as I delivered a punch line, this was an idea of my character knowing that he's within a movie, but we scrapped this idea as we thought it would be better not to do this, also we wanted to re-do the scene where I deliver the punch line to make it as funny as possible. We now need to re-do some of this scene and continue with the other scenes to ensure we do well
